about
I wrote this song the month my roommates and I were evicted from our SF apartment. I put on Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure one night while I packed, just something funny and familiar. I was also fairly baloneyed. I got sentimental about everything as I went through my stuff–clothes I hadn't worn in years, old photos, a gift from a friend who'd died. Everything felt brutal. Then that part in Bill & Ted's came on when they're in Medieval France and Bill thinks Ted's been stabbed. Bill says that line, "Ted, don't be dead, dude," all bummed. I got sentimental about that, too.
